Choose one Mac to run everything
Main Mac. If you use Routines on more than one Mac, you can now pick one of them to be the Main Mac. That Mac owns every automatic run: scheduled routines, missed-run catch-up, flows, email and calendar triggers, and the app, file and wake watchers. It is also the only Mac that answers Telegram and Slack. Your other Macs become manual-only copies you can still run by hand, so a schedule never fires twice and two Macs never reply to the same message.
- Leave it unset and nothing changes. Every Mac keeps behaving exactly as before.
- On a Mac that is not the Main Mac, Telegram and Slack now show a clear standby state instead of looking broken.
- Manual runs, the routines CLI, hotkeys, webhooks and in-app chat keep working on every Mac.
- Meeting routines are exempt. The Mac that recorded the meeting is the one that reacts to it.
- A Mac that was switched off while you changed the setting checks in at startup, so it will not wake up and fire a burst of catch-up runs it no longer owns.

- Built-in AI, no API key needed. A new AI setting lets you run Routines on our own AI with prepaid credits instead of pasting an Anthropic API key. Bringing your own key stays supported and works exactly as before, and signing out never routes you to the managed option.
