- The routine page now looks like meeting notes, with the output on the left and a chat on the right, and you can paste or attach images, PDFs and documents in a routine's chat.
- Stop and get notes now tells you your notes are being prepared and takes you to Meetings, which loads the first 30 right away and the rest as you scroll.
- Calendars from all your connected accounts (several Google accounts and Outlook) show together.
- The recording bar is compact: icons for the mic, language flag, vocabulary, pause and cancel, and a Stop button that always fits.
- Connections has its own place in Settings, and routines that use your own connected tools, like Growee, now run with them on the Claude Code engine.
- A new screenshot card in the CleanShot style: small, it follows you to a second screen, shows Copy and Save on hover, and slides away after an action.
- Second Brain: instant delete, a clear highlight on the open note, Cmd+K inside the editor, and one cloud sync button. In chat, Manage skills opens the skills editor, emoji codes like :smile: show as emoji, and Balanced now uses Sonnet 5.5.
- Custom schedules understand day lists like "mon, wed, fri at 8am", and the app header is slimmer, with the logo and window controls on one row.

- Recording is now one red button: press the mic on Home to record a meeting, or start a Quick note to capture a thought, and ask questions in the Ask while you listen panel while it records.
- When you press Stop and get notes, the notes save themselves in Meetings, and a Saved in Meetings card lets you keep them there, move them to a suggested folder, or choose a folder.
- The Meetings page shows each recording with its summary, people and to-dos, with All, Meetings and Quick notes filters and one bar to search or ask your meetings.
- Chat about a finished meeting in a panel on the right, and paste, drop or attach an image, PDF or document to your question.
- The left menu is simpler: Home, Meetings, Chat, To-do, Second Brain and Library. Notes is now Meetings, Tasks is now To-do, Workspace is now Second Brain, and Skills left the menu.
- Recordings where nobody spoke are no longer sent to the AI and save as "No speech was captured in this recording." With the Claude Code engine, meeting notes and speaker naming no longer load your own Claude connectors, so they send far less and no longer fail for being too long.
- New installs start in the Ocean colors; your colors stay as they are.

- Ask a meeting's chat to change its notes and it now edits them for real, with an Undo edit button that puts the previous notes back.
- If you shared a meeting's notes and they change afterwards, the meeting page tells you the link still shows the old version and offers Share again.
- Asking the meeting chat to edit the notes no longer hangs, and the edit changes only the notes themselves. If the AI stops responding, the chat says so and asks you to try again.
- Replying to "Who was who?" with a numbered list, like "1. Ana 2. John", now names the voices in any numbered format and on every Mac. Add your own name to the list and you are named on the mic.
- The main window now opens bigger, at 1440 by 920.
- Deleting a meeting, a Library item, or a file or folder in Memory or Workspace now always asks first, and Cancel keeps it.

- Meetings never show more voices than there were people. Routines counts the people first (the invitees plus you) and merges the voices down to that number, or asks "How many people were on this call?" when it cannot tell.
- If the count is wrong, reply with the right number and the voices are merged again. Name the speakers on an older meeting merges its voices the same way.
- Routines now supports the Meetings plan. The account menu and Settings > About show your plan, the meeting-hours you used and the date they reset.
- When most of your included meeting-hours are used, a heads-up lets you upgrade to Pro, add your own Deepgram key, or wait until they reset. If they run out, Routines says why a meeting cannot be transcribed and offers the same choices.
- Recording now tells you when it needs an internet connection, and the live transcript says when live transcription stopped while the audio keeps recording.
- With Cloud Sync on, the sidebar now explains when routines from your other Mac are not shown because you reached your plan's routine limit.

- Cloud sync now sends and fetches only the notes that changed. In our test with a 2,193-note, 21 MB notes folder, a sync with nothing changed moved about 0.4 MB instead of about 44 MB.
- When many notes leave this Mac at once, Routines keeps their cloud copies and lists them in Settings, where you can delete them from the cloud yourself.

- Large vaults now upload to cloud sync in smaller batches once the server side of this update is switched on. Until then, large vaults sync as they do today.
- Notes too large to sync (over 256 KB) are now counted in the account menu and listed in Settings instead of being uploaded, notes you delete on this Mac stay deleted, and a failed sync now shows in the account menu with a Sync now button.
- Routines now act on their own by default, and your existing routines switch to this once when you update. If a routine should wait for your approval, turn on "Ask before it acts" in that routine's editor; it is an opt-in for each routine. Routines you create on iPhone still start with it turned on. A routine's shell commands and AppleScript now wait for your approval while "Dangerous shell commands" is off in Settings, Permissions, even when the routine acts on its own.
- Routines can no longer run code by opening a script, app, archive or special link, or by writing to startup files, while "Dangerous shell commands" is off; those actions now wait for your approval.
- Claude Code tasks from chat and Telegram now get only read and search tools while "Dangerous shell commands" is off, and the assistant can no longer change that switch; only you can, in Settings, Permissions.
- Home's approvals card no longer says it could not check what is waiting right after launch; it now shows the waiting action once the app has finished starting.
- Right after launch, your profile, Getting started progress, slash-menu skills, language and theme could stay empty or out of date until something else refreshed them. They now load once the app has finished starting.

- New routines you create on your Mac now act on their own and show their results as a Visual report. Turn on "Ask before it acts" in a routine's editor if it should wait for you. Existing routines keep their approval setting but switch once to the Visual report on each Mac you update, except the Morning Do-Brief. To go back, pick Text under Output style in the routine's editor; the switch does not run again on that Mac.
- Fixed a start-up bug where a set-up Mac could show the "We found your data" restore screen. If a check fails at launch, the app now keeps the start screen and tries again.
- Links in the Home Slack digest, and other outside links, now open in your browser. Before, a click could replace the Routines window with the web page and leave no way back.
- The main window now opens 10% larger. On a smaller screen it can open smaller, but never below the old size.

- Settings now says where each AI key goes: your Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter key, or the optional key for typed decisions, is stored in this Mac's Keychain and sent only to that provider, never to BinarCode.
- The OpenRouter key card and the card for the optional typed decisions key now also say that parts of a meeting's transcript are sent to work out who spoke, which language it is in, and whether a vocabulary word was misheard.
- Onboarding now says it plainly: with your own API key, your AI requests go straight to that provider and never through our servers, while signing in and syncing still use them.
- With the Claude Code engine, when its sign-in expires, runs now say Claude Code is signed out and how to sign in again (claude auth login in Terminal, or a long-lived token in Settings), instead of "success: Failed to authenticate".
- The Developer console now sits in the three-dot menu of the chat, including the chat overlay, whenever Claude Code is your engine or a long-lived Claude token is saved. The Advanced switch for it in Settings is gone.
- After you click New in chat, closing and reopening the chat keeps you on the new blank chat.

- Meeting quick prompts are now yours: the new sliders button next to the chips in Live Meeting AI opens them in Settings > Meetings, where you can rename them, write what each one asks, add your own up to 8, and reorder them.
- Quick prompts and clipboard quick actions sync to all your Macs and merge edits row by row, so a change on one Mac no longer overwrites another's, and an open Settings window updates right away.
- Meetings now learn your vocabulary: names from the meeting invite, terms from your Workspace notes and your own list in Settings > Meetings > Vocabulary help the transcript spell them right. Add words there, from the Vocabulary shortcut in the recording bar, with routines meetings vocabulary add, or from the chat.
- With an OpenRouter key, or a key for the decide tool, in Settings, acronyms spoken letter by letter (like "a two p" for A2P) and words repeated in a row are cleaned up in the transcript and notes on the Mac that recorded the meeting. routines meetings show --raw still prints exactly what was heard.
- After a dropped connection, a new voice in a meeting gets the next speaker number instead of skipping ahead, for example from Speaker 2 to Speaker 5.
- Calendar changes you ask for in chat now arrive as a proposal card, and nothing is written to your calendar until you press Send or approve that exact proposal.
- The calendar in the popover and on Home is now view-only: Move, Edit, Cancel and a tap on a free slot fill in the chat for you to send, and an event typed in the popover goes to its chat instead of straight to your calendar.
- Your Workspace now shows, for every note, whether it is in the cloud, waiting to upload, or blocked, and why.
- A new Sync now button uploads what is waiting and tells you how many of them made it.
- New in Settings > Advanced: turn on the developer console to run Claude Code as a full chat inside Routines, in your workspace folder with your Routines tools, without opening Terminal. It needs Claude Code installed on that Mac.
- The console stops Claude Code and everything it started when you end the session or quit Routines, and it stays off unless you turn it on, on each Mac.
- Your profile now lives in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar: change your photo or name right there, and see your plan at a glance.
- Settings is simpler: General opens on Appearance, and password and email changes sit in a short Security section at the end.
- If you pay for Pro with a subscription on your account, Manage plan in the account menu now opens your billing portal in your browser.
- If your plan was set up by us, the menu tells you so and how to reach support.

- When the meeting chat asks who was who, a later message or an ordinary sentence is no longer read as speaker names. To correct names without rewriting the notes, use Fix names only in the meeting chat.
- A Stop button now cancels a notes regeneration and keeps your previous notes and speaker names. After a speaker rename, Undo rename brings back the previous names and notes, unless the notes changed since.

- Meeting transcripts now survive network drops on both your voice and the call: in our drop, lag and provider failure tests every spoken marker was kept exactly once and in order, where before text could be lost each time the connection was rebuilt.
- Press Cmd+F in a meeting note to find text in the AI Summary or the Full Transcript, with highlighted matches and an "n of m" count; search ignores case and accents.
- Cmd+K now finds your Workspace notes by file name, folder or title, even with a typo or two, and Enter opens the note.
- Meeting notes saved by this version, including ones moved to another folder from the meeting chat, are updated in the same file when speakers are named or the notes are regenerated; a saved note you edited yourself is no longer overwritten, and the meeting chat says it left the file as it is. Notes saved by earlier versions are kept as they are.
- Notes sync no longer stops when one note cannot be uploaded or saved: the rest sync and Settings lists that note and why. A note changed on two Macs is kept on both until you pick a version.
- With cloud sync on, sidebar folders and your SOUL.md, ROUTINES.md, TOOLS.md and HEARTBEAT.md files now reach your other Macs.
- On a Mac you signed in on with Google, your Google profile photo now shows instead of a grey placeholder.
- The Main Mac card in Settings now lists your iPhones, and Stop using a Main Mac asks before it clears the choice.
- A Mac that is already set up no longer opens the welcome wizard when its settings cannot be read at launch; if the wizard does open, it says This Mac is already set up and changes nothing.

- Shared collections moved to their own place: in Workspace, the last icon on the left rail opens them, and the file tree uses the full height again.
- Pick one of your collections to see its folders and the people who have access, add folders from your workspace right there, and copy the invite link in one click.
- Sharing a folder that is already in a collection now opens on "Add to a collection" and says where it already is, and hovering its shared badge shows which collections it is in.
- "+ New" in Collections creates the collection as soon as you press Enter, with its invite link ready.
- After sign-in, a Mac that holds a valid Routines Pro license tells your account about it at most once per launch, so sharing folders stops saying your account shows the Free plan. If it still does, the Share dialog offers "Already paid for Pro? Link your license".

- Customize your Home like a dashboard: drag the edge or corner of any section to resize it on the grid, with a live preview while you drag. Press Escape to cancel.
- Resize grips stay visible in Customize mode, and the size buttons light up only when a section matches a preset size. Keyboard users can resize a focused section with Shift and the arrow keys. In a narrower window, sections can only be made taller.

- Routine outputs now show the same charts, tables and cards as the chat. Hover a chart to see values, switch it to a table, and copy the output or open a visual report in your browser.
- Flow steps keep their own scroll box for long outputs, and the menu bar popover shows a small sparkline for chart outputs.
- Home looks exactly as before. A new Customize button in the Home header lets you reorder, resize, remove and add sections for each time of day (morning, work, after work, weekend), saved on this Mac only.
- Home opens as fast as before, and the new layout adds no AI calls of its own.

- Chat answers now stream in as they are written, and the tools the assistant uses show inline while it works.
- Ask the chat for a chart and it draws one in the app: hover for the values, use the arrow keys, or switch to a table. Ask for a report and it builds a visual report that fills in live, inline in the chat or in a side panel for a full page.
- When you ask the chat to create or change a routine, it can now attach one of your connected MCP servers by name and switch the routine to a visual report.
- The chat input is one rounded bar. Sending pins your message to the top while the answer streams in below it.
- After each answer the chat suggests a likely next message as grey text in the input. Press Tab or click it to use it, or keep typing. It is never sent for you. Turn it off in Settings > Assistant > Behavior > Chat suggestions.
- Under each answer you can copy it and see when it was written, and you can regenerate the latest answer in place.
- The menu bar popover shows your five most recently run routines, newest first, instead of only pinned ones, with a button to hide that section. Tasks now sit above routines.
- Shared collections on the Mac: join a shared collection from its link in your browser and it shows up in Routines under Shared with me, your own collections list the folders they cover, and you get a notification when someone joins yours.

- Smart now runs on Claude Opus 5.5 and Genius on Claude Fable 5.1; routines and chats that chose the older models switch automatically.
- In long calls with reconnects, the on-device voice check now joins more duplicate numbers of the same voice (fewer Speaker numbers on two recorded calls, none holding two people).
- After the voice check, the meeting chat now says what was measured instead of promising one label per voice.

- Speaker labels no longer restart every minute during long meetings.
- Transcript timestamps follow the meeting time and no longer jump back to 00:00 in the middle of a meeting.
- Deleting a meeting now also deletes its recording files from this Mac.
- After a call, Routines now checks the speaker numbers against the voices in the call audio, on your Mac (new; it downloads two small voice models, 47 MB, on first use and sends nothing anywhere).

- The routine page no longer gets stuck with a blank gap above the latest output after scrolling past the top.
- Close a screenshot without copying or saving it and a small card now waits in the corner for a few seconds, so you can reopen, copy or save it before it is gone.

- Clearer buttons: the pixelate tool has a pixelate icon, and Ask AI and Copy are labelled so you can tell them apart.
- The screenshot editor has a cleaner toolbar and smooth menus, and text now looks bolder and easier to read.
- Clicking outside a text or comment simply finishes it, and clicking outside a menu closes it.
- Screenshots open in the editor about six times faster, and the window appears only once your image is on screen.
- An image you copy from the screenshot editor now shows up in your clipboard history.
- Routines that read RSS feeds no longer report "no entries" on feeds that arrive compressed, such as Google DeepMind's blog, and the web fetch tool can read a feed address too.

- Sign in to the Claude Code engine with a long-lived token: run claude setup-token in Terminal, paste the token in Settings > Assistant > Provider & Model, and Routines uses it for every run it starts. Your terminal login stays as it is, and Remove takes you back to it.
- The Claude Code card now shows the CLI, the sign-in and the API key as three separate rows, so you always see which one is in use.

- The folders you make in the sidebar now sync between your Macs, with their names, their order and which routines sit inside. Delete a folder on one Mac and it goes away on the others; whether a folder is open or closed stays per Mac.

- A routine can now change your color theme. Try the new "Theme by Sleep" recipe: every morning it reads last night's sleep from your health notes and picks Burgundy, Ocean or Peach for the day. The command line can do it too, with routines theme.
- Long answers no longer time out. A routine that wrote a long reply after posting its results was sometimes cut off with "Claude Code timed out" and its output was lost. It now finishes, and if a run is ever cut short you see what it managed to write and the reason.
- When the newest run of a routine fails, LATEST OUTPUT keeps showing the last successful output, with a note about the failed run above it.

- Choose a color theme for Routines in Settings > General > Appearance: Ocean, Burgundy, Forest, Blossom, Cloud Dancer (Pantone's Color of the Year 2026) or Peach, in light and dark. The sidebar takes your theme as a soft gradient, and the popover, the clipboard history and the screenshot editor follow it.
- Tell Routines where to save your meeting notes in plain words, in Settings > Meetings > Where to save. A rule like "meetings with someone from Northwind go to 10_clients/northwind" steers automatic saving and the save suggestions, and if you write a folder path, Routines creates the folder for you.
- Settings no longer goes blank after you scroll a long section and switch to another one. Sections that load data now show a placeholder while they load, and a Retry button if the load fails.
- Your health notes keep every section when your iPhone sends a partial day, and your Personality file is protected from being replaced by a cut-off rewrite.

- New Comment tool in the screenshot editor: press C, click a spot on your capture and type. Comments show as a pin with a small card, and you can move and edit them later.
- Apply comments with AI: leave comments on a screenshot, press the new button next to the wand and AI edits the image the way your comments say. Undo brings the original back.
- Text and comments stay editable after you place them. T opens the text tool and Escape steps back to the arrow.
- Hebrew text in the editor stays exactly where you typed it, and the Morning Briefing recipe now starts from a full prompt written the way a person would ask for it.

Meetings with Hebrew, Russian, Japanese or other non-Latin titles now save under a readable filename instead of "untitled". Chat dictation follows your transcription language, so a Hebrew interface dictates in Hebrew unless you picked something else. Every transcription request now opts out of Deepgram model training, including the short ones behind dictation and the mid-meeting language check.

With a TypeSafe or OpenRouter key, Jev now works inside your routines: it checks whether a flow may move to its next step, double checks a routine's output before the slower grader runs, and decides who owns each action item from a meeting. The needs-attention badge on Home is now judged when an output is written, with a calibrated probability, instead of by keyword matching. Without a key everything behaves exactly as before.

Connectors that offer a tool with the same name keep their own stable names, so a call never lands on the wrong service. ChatGPT sign-in is safer when you switch accounts: a running chat stops instead of continuing under the new account, and sign-in no longer races a token refresh. Reconnecting a connector refreshes its tools right away.

Claude Code chats send only your new message when a conversation continues, instead of replaying the whole history. - Signing up only asks your password to match, no more complexity rules to fight. The provider screen opens on Claude Code when it's already on your Mac, with Routines AI as a quiet last option. Setup is three short steps, and choosing a notes folder on the last one makes it your memory folder right away, showing how many notes it found.
- The paste-your-context screen is gone from setup. If you already use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok, ask in chat with /setup or /import: Routines hands you a prompt to paste into that assistant, then uses what you paste to fill in your profile. Setup now closes by naming your real shortcuts for opening chat and the quick popover, and points at the Getting started checklist on Home. If you imported context in v1.3 or v1.4, that text is still there, though the Undo for it left with the old screen.
- During setup, chat questions are numbered, and a single small chip shows which tool is running instead of repeating "using a tool".
- Settings now clearly separate "My own AI" (your Claude Code, ChatGPT sign-in, or API key) from "Routines AI" (routed through our servers). Switching to Routines AI sets your own setup aside and brings it straight back when you switch again. Credit packs are available any time you're on Routines AI, balance has a refresh button, and the "out of credit" notice now opens Settings instead of piling up duplicate messages. Service keys for things like Brave Search, Deepgram, Maton, and Windsor.ai moved into Connections.
- The sidebar now shows the real Routines app icon instead of a generic mark.
- The notes explorer lists everything on disk, like Sublime, including index files, dotfiles, and non-markdown files, which now open in their own pane. - Meeting transcription now supports 28 languages on macOS. Each one was verified against the transcription vendor, and each is picked explicitly in the meeting language picker, either as your default in Settings or from the recording bar while a meeting is running. iOS transcription is unchanged for now.
- Auto still auto-detects the same ten languages as before, and the Settings hint lists exactly which ones Auto hears. For any other language, pick it explicitly before or during the meeting, or the transcript will come back wrong. Pick the language that is actually spoken: a mismatched pick returns a wrong or empty transcript.
- Meeting notes follow the picked language, including Cantonese written in Traditional Chinese and Mandarin written in Simplified Chinese.
- The recording bar now shows full language names instead of two letter codes.

- Import your context from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok. Paste what your other assistant knows about you, or let Routines scan local agent files, and tick each line before it lands in your profile. Every import is stamped so you can undo it byte for byte, and Settings > Assistant > Behavior gets an import card for bringing more over later.
- Meetings know who is speaking. After a recording finishes, Routines maps each Speaker N label to a name using the calendar attendees and self-introductions in the transcript. A name is only asserted when the evidence is verbatim in what that speaker said; anything weaker stays a label. Notes and the Full Transcript tab use the names, the stored transcript is never rewritten.
- Russian meeting transcription (macOS only for now). Pick Russian (RU) explicitly in the meeting language picker. Auto does not support Russian: the multilingual live stream hears Russian but never finalizes it, so a Russian meeting left on Auto saves nothing until the 15 second probe detects clearly Cyrillic speech and switches it to Russian. Speaker identification understands Russian self-introductions too.
- Multilingual auto-detect fixed. Auto had been sending no language at all, which the transcription vendor treats as English, so non-English meetings on Auto came back empty. Auto now really uses the multilingual model. This changes the default model for everyone on Auto and brings a small English accuracy dip; if your meetings are in English, pick English explicitly in the language picker.
- Long transcripts render reliably. Very long transcripts could leave the notes pane blank; rendering is now bounded so the pane always paints. Plus a batch of onboarding, Settings and Hebrew copy fixes.

Choose one Mac to run everything

Main Mac. If you use Routines on more than one Mac, you can now pick one of them to be the Main Mac. That Mac owns every automatic run: scheduled routines, missed-run catch-up, flows, email and calendar triggers, and the app, file and wake watchers. It is also the only Mac that answers Telegram and Slack. Your other Macs become manual-only copies you can still run by hand, so a schedule never fires twice and two Macs never reply to the same message.
- Leave it unset and nothing changes. Every Mac keeps behaving exactly as before.
- On a Mac that is not the Main Mac, Telegram and Slack now show a clear standby state instead of looking broken.
- Manual runs, the routines CLI, hotkeys, webhooks and in-app chat keep working on every Mac.
- Meeting routines are exempt. The Mac that recorded the meeting is the one that reacts to it.
- A Mac that was switched off while you changed the setting checks in at startup, so it will not wake up and fire a burst of catch-up runs it no longer owns.
