A simpler first run, and a clearer sense of where your AI comes from.
- Signing up only asks your password to match, no more complexity rules to fight. The provider screen opens on Claude Code when it's already on your Mac, with Routines AI as a quiet last option. Setup is three short steps, and choosing a notes folder on the last one makes it your memory folder right away, showing how many notes it found.
- The paste-your-context screen is gone from setup. If you already use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok, ask in chat with /setup or /import: Routines hands you a prompt to paste into that assistant, then uses what you paste to fill in your profile. Setup now closes by naming your real shortcuts for opening chat and the quick popover, and points at the Getting started checklist on Home. If you imported context in v1.3 or v1.4, that text is still there, though the Undo for it left with the old screen.
- During setup, chat questions are numbered, and a single small chip shows which tool is running instead of repeating "using a tool".
- Settings now clearly separate "My own AI" (your Claude Code, ChatGPT sign-in, or API key) from "Routines AI" (routed through our servers). - Meeting transcription now supports 28 languages on macOS. Each one was verified against the transcription vendor, and each is picked explicitly in the meeting language picker, either as your default in Settings or from the recording bar while a meeting is running. iOS transcription is unchanged for now.
- Auto still auto-detects the same ten languages as before, and the Settings hint lists exactly which ones Auto hears. For any other language, pick it explicitly before or during the meeting, or the transcript will come back wrong. Pick the language that is actually spoken: a mismatched pick returns a wrong or empty transcript.
- Meeting notes follow the picked language, including Cantonese written in Traditional Chinese and Mandarin written in Simplified Chinese.

- Import your context from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok. Paste what your other assistant knows about you, or let Routines scan local agent files, and tick each line before it lands in your profile. Every import is stamped so you can undo it byte for byte, and Settings > Assistant > Behavior gets an import card for bringing more over later.
- Meetings know who is speaking. After a recording finishes, Routines maps each Speaker N label to a name using the calendar attendees and self-introductions in the transcript. A name is only asserted when the evidence is verbatim in what that speaker said; anything weaker stays a label. Notes and the Full Transcript tab use the names, the stored transcript is never rewritten.
- Russian meeting transcription (macOS only for now). Pick Russian (RU) explicitly in the meeting language picker. Auto does not support Russian: the multilingual live stream hears Russian but never finalizes it, so a Russian meeting left on Auto saves nothing until the 15 second probe detects clearly Cyrillic speech and switches it to Russian. Speaker identification understands Russian self-introductions too.
- Multilingual auto-detect fixed. Auto had been sending no language at all, which the transcription vendor treats as English, so non-English meetings on Auto came back empty. Auto now really uses the multilingual model. This changes the default model for everyone on Auto and brings a small English accuracy dip; if your meetings are in English, pick English explicitly in the language picker.

Choose one Mac to run everything
Main Mac. If you use Routines on more than one Mac, you can now pick one of them to be the Main Mac. That Mac owns every automatic run: scheduled routines, missed-run catch-up, flows, email and calendar triggers, and the app, file and wake watchers. It is also the only Mac that answers Telegram and Slack. Your other Macs become manual-only copies you can still run by hand, so a schedule never fires twice and two Macs never reply to the same message.
- Leave it unset and nothing changes. Every Mac keeps behaving exactly as before.
- On a Mac that is not the Main Mac, Telegram and Slack now show a clear standby state instead of looking broken.
- Manual runs, the routines CLI, hotkeys, webhooks and in-app chat keep working on every Mac.
- Meeting routines are exempt. The Mac that recorded the meeting is the one that reacts to it.
- A Mac that was switched off while you changed the setting checks in at startup, so it will not wake up and fire a burst of catch-up runs it no longer owns.

Fixed: the screenshot editor could stop opening after the capture destination was overwritten by settings sync from another Mac. The capture destination (Open editor or Copy to clipboard) is now a per-Mac preference, and cloud sync no longer silently overwrites settings you have not changed since mid-July.

Routines now speaks Hebrew. Pick עברית in Settings → Language and the entire app — every screen, the menu-bar tray, notifications and dialogs — switches to fully right-to-left Hebrew instantly, no relaunch needed. Your snippets now sync across your Macs when cloud sync is on. New snippets, edits and deletes all carry over, so a snippet you write on one Mac is there on the other.
If two Macs happened to use the same keyword while both were offline, both snippets are kept. The second one arrives turned off with a numbered keyword, so nothing is lost and nothing expands under a trigger you did not choose.

Meeting notes now keep their header in view while you scroll. The title, date, attendees and quick actions slide up into one slim bar at the top instead of scrolling away, and the toolbar buttons condense to icons.
The summary and transcript sit directly on the page now instead of inside boxes, at a comfortable reading width.
Fixed: the finished note page could not scroll properly, which also meant the chat box at the bottom never appeared.
Fixed: opening a note no longer jumps you past the summary down to the chat.

Meeting notes chat now reaches every connected MCP server and connector, so a meeting can go straight into your CRM or any connected tool instead of only into a workspace folder.
Finished meetings now answer in full, with rich formatting and charts, the same way routine chats do. The live in-meeting copilot stays terse for glancing at mid-conversation.
Chats can now list and use your skills, and create new ones on demand.
Long conversations are faster and cheaper: chats no longer re-send their whole history with every message.
