For some people, yes; for others, they are complementary. If you mostly need an assistant that runs your calendar alongside your notes, meetings, and day, Routines can replace it. If you rely on Fantastical for natural-language event entry, calendar sets, availability scheduling, and apps on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, keep Fantastical. Routines is macOS only and does not try to match Fantastical as a pure calendar client.
